Neil Greentree

Neil has an extensive experience on all facets of museum object photography, and has photographed for catalogs, web sites and large format display prints in various prestigious international exhibitions. He has also been involved in the imaging of the collection of Mehrangarh museum for many years.

 

Neil managed the transition from film-based documentation to digital in the Asian Art Museum of the Smithsonian for over 20 Years. He adapted techniques for lighting gold and metal objects as well as specialized lighting for photographing paintings and many other 3D objects. He is not only a museum photographer with exacting skills in lighting techniques and correct color balance but is also passionate about photography in general.

Course - Museum Imaging

Maniyarasan Rajendran

Maniyarasan Rajendran, an architect and photographer, specialises in documenting built heritage. He works as an architectural photographer and visual documentation consultant. He works on projects related to aerial mapping, photogrammetry and technical imaging in architecture/conservation practice. He did B.Arch from SPA Delhi, PG Photography Design from NID Ahmedabad & UCA Farnham UK. He teaches Design and History at CARE School of Architecture, Trichy. An alumni of the Leon Levy Foundation Centre for Conservation, Maniyarasan works with various government and private organisations and has conducted workshops in heritage documentation with various institutions including CEPT. As a research scholar, Architectural documentation was his primary area of research.

Course - Documentation & Survey of Paintings and Built Heritage

Wendy Rose

Wendy Rose is a wall painting conservator with expertise in photogrammetric documentation. She holds an M.A. in Conservation of wall paintings from The Courtauld Institute of Art in London. Where she researched and developed a 3D digital monitoring technique for wall painting in situ. Wendy has worked as a freelance cultural photogrammetry consultant, providing instruction and assistance on the application of photogrammetry for cultural heritage conservation for the National Park Service, community groups, and the Lunder Conservation Centre. She currently works as practicing wall painting conservator for Olin Conservation Inc. in DC and consults for the Smithsonian American Art Museum and the Getty Conservation Institute on digital documentation and interpretation projects. Wendy will be teaching remotely in this course.

Sreekumar Menon

Sreekumar Menon is a paintings conservator, a partner of the firm Art Conservation Solutions in India and a fellow of The International Institute for Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works. He has over two decades of experience in managing and participating in notable conservation projects all over the country. He has previously been a part of Conservation Studies at Nagaur, India. He did his Master's in art conservation from National Museum Institute, New Delhi before undertaking internships in paintings conservation at the Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH), New Delhi, Hamilton Kerr Institute, Cambridge and Stichting Restauratie Atelier Limburg (SRAL), Netherlands. He holds a doctorate in conservation of wall paintings from the Courtauld Institute of Art, London.

Dr. Sunayana Rathore

Dr. Sunayana Rathore is a Museum professional having in-depth experience of collections management, Museum design and display, research, operations and project planning, she is the curator of the Mehrangarh Museum, Jodhpur and has worked on many aspects including creative planning, design and display, exhibition, preventive care and storage for museum objects ranging from organic material.

 

A graduate from Sophia College, she holds a Masters degree in Heritage Management with specialization in conservation and completed her PhD in Museology from the National Museum Institute. A native from Rajasthan, she likes to work towards preserving the tangible and intangible heritage.

Smita Singh

Smita Singh is an independent Textile Conservation Consultant and researcher with over two decades of experience in prestigious textile conservation projects with institutions like The City Palace, Udaipur, Gyan Museum, Jaipur, MSMS II Museum Trust, jaipur, Mehrangarh Museum Trust, Jodhpur, and The Tibet Museum, Dharamshala, among others. She pursued her Master's in 'Conservation of Art Objects' from the National Museum Institute, New Delhi. Following that, she did textile conservation internships at renowned institutions like the British Museum, London, the University of Applied Arts, Vienna, and the Opificio delle Pietre Dure, Florence. One of her recent publications, as a contributing author, is 'Royal Textile of Mewar - The City Palace Museum, Udaipur, ' published by Harpercollins India Private Limited. Additionally, she serves as a Founder Member and Chief Editor at the Textiles and Clothing Research Centre, New Delhi. She imparts her knowledge and teaches students in various universities as visiting faculty about preserving and conserving textiles, through lectures and hands-on workshop.

He has worked at Raza Library in Rampur, the Islamic Arts Museum Conservation and Research Laboratory in Malaysia, Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden (SKD) in Germany, Dar AI Athar AI  Islamiyyah in Kuwait, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Sangrahalaya (CSMVS) in Mumbai, and Ossian's Art Connoisseurs in new Delhi. Throughout his work, he has conserved Chinese scrolls, historical records, Quran Manuscripts (paper, vellum, and parchment), and miniature paintings. In addition to working with many institutions, he has also educated and counselled on the establishment and development of conservation spaces. He has various National and International training under his belt and has spoken, trained, and mentored in over fifty workshops, and restored considerable amounts of paper objects in India and abroad.

Achal Pandya

Achal Pandya is currently professor ( Conservation and the Head of Division (Conservation) at the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA). Before joining IGNCA, Achal taught the Master's Degree programme at National Museum Institute of  History of Art, Conservation and Museology (NMI), New Delhi. He is doctorate in Conservation and holds Master's degree in Conservation and Chemistry. Achal is the fellow of International Institute of Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works (IIC) and is also the Chair of the Directory Board of International Council of Museums Committee for Conservation (ICOM-CC) from 2017 to 2020.
